    Description

An antique, Hohner Accordeon, in original condition, Ca.1910.  The accordian, 11" wide by 6" high and 11" in depth, is in good, estate condition.  The flame birch case is in the original finish with a scrolled face bearing the Hohner trademark in an oval center.  It has 19 treble buttons (one missing) and 8 base buttons...they are all mother of pearl.  It is in working condition with several buttons sticking...excellent tone with good bellows.  The original Hohner leather safety straps are present as well as the original main strap.  There are (8) tin corner lithographs with M. Hohner's image.  The plated closures on the front bear some oxidation, whereas the closures on the back are fine.  Imprinted on the black canvas in the front is "Steel Bronze Reeds" and "Gold Medal St Louis 1904 Unique Success".  There are minor areas missing finish.  It has not been cleaned or polished and will respond well to both.
