I'm 5'11 and usually wear XL or if the shirts run small I go XXL. Purchased XXL on this jacket, glad I did and it's a good fit. I think XL would've been to small. I can easily wear a T-shirt or long sleeve T-shirt under no problem. Haven't field tested (Only house tested like running under the faucet, but here's my thoughts on it.
Lightweight
Beads water off like a fresh waxed car! I'm amazed
Color and pattern is realistic
Material is a little stretchy so it moves well
Not very noisy when moving
I can see myself using this in grassy fields or being stationary. Moving through thickets and branches.

I use this as a rain coat (with rain pants) when it's raining moderate to heavy. It works as advertised. I like the way it zips up to my face with the hood up. I am 5'8", 180 lbs. I got the XL size, which is just right for me. I wear a sweater, hoodie, or jacket under the rain jacket. The material is thin, and waterproof. It is not gortex. Your perspiration will condense inside the rain jacket. The little bag that comes with it makes a convenient small package.
